A new 84-unit luxury mid-rise building is coming to 537 Drummond Place.

It will replace a parking lot formerly used by the US Post Office.

Update: Foundation work is continuing and should be complete very soon.

It won’t be long until you see the walls of the building start to rise.

What’s next

This work should be completed in early December. The steel piles support the weight of the building and are essential for construction on the soft sandy soils near Chicago’s lakefront.

If you work from home, you may want to plan important calls or meetings outside construction hours (8am–3pm, Monday through Friday). Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We'll send updates as this phase progresses.

Once again, we recognize that this work may be disruptive, and we apologize for any inconvenience you may experience. This is probably the noisiest phase of the project, and although there will certainly be some more loud noises over the next year and half, there will be nothing like these next few weeks.
